Birds of Sri Lanka

According to the official birds' list published by the Ceylon Bird Club (Birds List), Sri Lanka plays host to 441+ different types of bird species. This includes both resident and migratory birds. Considering the size of my tiny island, that is an amazing diversity of birds. The following list contains all the bird species according to the Ceylon Bird Club official list and organised according to ‘A Field Guide to the Birds of Sri Lanka’ by John Harrison.
